Geo Group offers a comprehensive menu of services covering all aspects of destination marketing and representation. These are broken down into services provided for a Destination that focus on the Travel Trade, the Travel Media and the General Public. To service these three sectors properly, a number of Promotional Tools are necessary, which we are also able to produce.
Targeting the Travel Trade
Identifying key tour operators and travel agents to receive comprehensive training and encouragement to pro-actively sell the destination through regular correspondence and visits.
Developing suitable sell-in materials, including key resources supplied on DVD and online. We are pioneers in the use of trade resources websites.
Organising educational familiarization trips by relevant tour operators.
Coordinating destination representation at key international travel trade events including WTM (UK), ITB (Berlin) and other relevant events.
Targeting the Travel Media
Running Media & PR campaigns targeting both trade and consumer, via a dedicated PR & Media Centre, to appraise existing media perceptions of the destination – both on the front pages and the travel sections. Then develop positive perceptions of the destination for tourism .
Offering selected journalists the opportunity to visit (with contracted and guaranteed editorial coverage as a result), and organising all aspects of such trips. Through our contacts, there is the potential to attract UK tour operator and airline sponsorship to part fund this activity.
News & Press Releases
Ensuring a regular supply of news items are put up on website, and distributed through social media, along with Press Releases distributed for significant news items.
Producing and distributing printed and digital media packs to give angles and story ideas to members of the travel media.
Targeting the General Public:
Tourist Information Office
Responding to the needs of the General Public, providing unbiased advice on various subjects including attractions, seasons, health, visas and safety, as well as providing a comprehensive database of recommended suppliers. Responding by telephone, email and also online via the destination website and social media outlets.
Coordinating destination representation at key consumer travel events including Destinations. Includes all stand arrangements, decoration and manning.
Creating and running advertising campaigns for specialist press within the UK including Travel Africa, BBC Wildlife, Wild Travel and Nat Geo Traveller.
Designing, creating and distributing regular HTML and/or printed newsletters for distribution to the trade, media public.
Destination Brochures & Directories
Designing and printing a brochure to the destination, with input from relevant third parties. Distributed to the general public but also to the trade and media as relevant.
Scripting, filming, editing and producing a suitable short promotional video on the destination for use on website and in social media and other activities.
Creating a comprehensive image bank of photographs showcasing the key highlights and locations of a destination. For distribution to the Travel Trade selling the destination and to the Media featuring the destination.
Designing and producing a destination website that is easy to use, attractive, interactive, informative and highly ranked on search engines.
Social Media & News
Providing a full social media support programme. Regular distribution through social media, main website, third party travel websites and via email to relevant databases for individual news items.
Market Analysis & Strategy
Reporting feedback and advice from the market, on trends and developments in the industry.
